A Passion for Healing Sciences and Empowering Individuals

Silvia Vidas is a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Dr.TCM), Registered Acupuncturist & Herbologist.  She is dedicated to helping individuals evolve and heal physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. She specializes in facilitating the body’s innate healing process and believes that each patient has unlimited potential to heal given the right supports.

“Each one of us has an unlimited capacity to heal. It is my intention to facilitate that process through the use of Traditional Chinese Healing methods.”

Silvia graduated from PCU College of Holistic Medicine, Burnaby in 2009 as a Registered Acupuncturist & Herbologist and became a Dr. TCM in 2011.  She is registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia and the Jin Shin Do® Foundation for Bodymind Acupressure®.  Prior to becoming a Dr. TCM, she obtained a Bachelor of Science & Master of Clinical Science in Audiology and worked in hospital & clinical settings for over 15 years.

While Silvia’s interest in healing sciences was initially inspired early on by her father who was a Chiropractor and Acupuncturist, her journey was accelerated after being hit by a car in her teens. Having been told she might lose her leg and not walk again, Silvia supplemented Western medical approaches with alternative health therapies and beat the odds to save her leg.  Since then, she has been passionate about using the mind-body connection to help individuals overcome physical and emotional barriers to surpass even their own expectations as they continue to define their path and transform into the person they are meant to be.

"My mission is to help individuals evolve and heal physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.”

Silvia incorporates a holistic approach to treatment that is customized to the individual’s needs.  Several strategies may be included in a session depending on the requirements and boundaries of each patient. See Services for more detailed information.

When not treating patients, Silvia, a mother of two teenagers, enjoys being with friends and family, walking in the forest, climbing the Grouse Grind, going to yoga, biking and pursuing a deeper understanding of Traditional Chinese Medicine and other alternative healing approaches.

She has lived in Montreal, London, Riyadh Saudi Arabia, and Winnipeg and is now back “home” in North Vancouver, BC.
